"You are the light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house."
MATTHEW 5:14-15

Springer's before & after school program
Our policy is homework first, play second.
Springer's aims to promote healthy children - both inside and out. Our students' homework is their first priority, and then it's on to play! Our goal is to keep our students active while they are in our care so that, ultimately, they can grow into healthy, active adults who live long, blessed lives.

Our before & after school program is open to boys and girls in grades kindergarten and up. If you have any questions about our before and after school program, please do not hesitate to ask a Springer's staff member!

Reporting Suspected Child Maltreatment: We provide annual training to all staff on recognizing the signs of child maltreatment. All employees have a legal duty to make a report to law enforcement or to Child Protective Services ("CPS") if they have reason to believe that a child has been or may be abused or neglected. CPS must be contacted when the abuser is believed to be caretaker; law enforcement should be contacted when abuser is believed to be someone other than a caretaker of the child. Professionals and parents have a legal duty to make this report orally within 48 hours and to follow that with a written report. You have not fulfilled your duty if you simply make a report to your supervisor. While we want you to inform the Executive Director if you believe a report is required, you must still make the report yourself. If you are not certain whether you have observed child abuse or neglect, you should err on the side of reporting. Professionals can receive sanctions against their certificates and any person can face criminal charges for knowingly failing to make a report of known or suspected child maltreatment. Your identity will be protected when you make a good faith report.
The telephone number for the Child Abuse Hotline is 1-800-252-5400. For additional information regarding your reporting obligations, please see the Executive Director.
Springer's Reporting Abuse & Neglect Policy
Who Should Report Child Maltreatment? Any person may voluntarily report abuse or neglect. If you work with children in a licensed facility, you are legally required or mandated to report and cannot shift the responsibility of reporting to anyone else. If you know or have reason to believe a child is being or has been neglected or physically or sexually abused within the preceding three years you must immediately (within 48 hours) make a report to an outside agency. If you are a parent with a child and suspect he or she is a victim of child abuse and need assistance, Springer’s Gymnastics LLC will refer you to CPS and provide you with the appropriate resources to help you identify and handle the situation. Springer’s will assist in educating the community by educating parents with resources and pamphlets periodically. Springer’s is always open to helping the public find appropriate resources and answer any questions they may have regarding abuse and neglect.
Where to Report If you know or suspect that a child is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1. Reports regarding incidents of suspected abuse or neglect of children occurring at a family child care program, within a family or in the community should be made to Texas Department of Family and Protective Services at www.txabusehotline or 1-800-252-5400.
What to Report Texas law requires caregivers to report suspected child maltreatment.
Failure to Report Failure to report suspected abuse or neglect is a crime. Employers are prohibited from retailing against caregivers who make reports in good faith.
